Statewide Radon Tests Reflect No Cause for Concern for Ladue Schools

Ladue School District Logo

In mid-March, the Ladue School District participated in statewide testing for radon conducted by the Missouri Department of Health.  The test involved randomly placing 187 detectors in ground level classrooms and common areas district wide. Recently released results reflect all of our schools tested well below the Environmental Protection Agency’s recommended action level.

Based on these results, no additional action is recommended at this time.  The district will retest in ten years, as recommended, except in situations when there are major changes in any of our buildings, such as after construction concludes at the high school.  In these cases, retesting will take place once the projects are complete.
