Welcome Back - Jan. 9, 2025: Beginning of the second semester

Dear Ladue Schools Community,

I want to personally thank you for your patience and understanding during the past few snow days. We are excited to welcome our students, staff, and bus drivers back tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 9, as we officially begin the 2024-25 second semester. Your support and flexibility have been greatly appreciated.

Please be cognizant that due to the recent snowstorm, there may still be some delays in transportation and other routines. Your continued patience will help ensure a smooth transition as we resume our regular schedule.

Here are a few important safety reminders:

   - Extreme Cold Weather: Temperatures are expected to be very cold, so please make sure your child is dressed in warm layers to stay protected against the elements.
   - Walking to School or the Bus Stop: Remind your child to stay on sidewalks whenever possible and avoid standing or walking in the street.
   - Drop-off and Pick-up: If you are driving, please allow extra time for potential delays and practice patience to ensure everyone’s safety.

As we navigate the icy road conditions and frigid temperatures, let’s prioritize safety and extend grace and kindness to one another. Your cooperation and support are invaluable. Thank you for your attention and understanding.

If you see any member of our Ladue Schools maintenance and custodial staff, please join me in thanking them for the countless hours they put into clearing our district sidewalks and parking lots to ensure everyone is safe before we return.

Please stay safe; we look forward to seeing our students back in school tomorrow, January 9th.

Regards,

Dr. Jim Wipke
Superintendent
