Ladue Horton Watkins High School senior Vincent Hsiao has achieved a feat rarely seen in scholastic journalism. For the third consecutive year, Vincent has been named a winner in the St. Louis Public Radio (STLPR) Teen Photojournalist Prize contest, but this year, he didn’t just win one category; he won two.

Vincent took home top honors in both the Best Portrait and Best Feature categories, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most talented young visual storytellers in the country.

This latest recognition is part of a historic run for Vincent. Earlier this semester, he was surprised in class and named the 2026 Missouri Student Journalist of the Year by the Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association (MIJA).
