The holiday season brought an abundance of joy and kindness to Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, courtesy of the talented fourth-grade students from the Conway Chorus. These young performers shared their voices and hearts, bringing smiles to patients, families, and staff. Alongside their heartfelt performance, they delivered over 300 handmade cards, each a masterpiece of love and compassion crafted by the Conway Elementary School community.

Conway Elementary developed this opportunity through a relationship with Ranken Jordan and a Conway parent last year, and the students were excited to make it a tradition.

"This is our second time going there to sing. Katie Mckenna, Kathryn Ward, and I took our fourth-grade Conway Chorus students—about 40 in total—to perform,” Elizabeth Dalby, the music teacher at Conway Elementary, reflected on the event's significance. “Our students are extremely empathetic and insightful. They know they are not too young to use their skills, abilities, and passions to serve their community. Ranken Jordan is a beautiful, joyful, light-filled space. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to sing for and serve the patients, staff, and families."

This year, Linda Armbruster, a 3rd-grade teacher at Conway, and the Conway Character Ed committee coordinated a card-making effort and provided 300 beautiful, thoughtful, and creative handmade cards from the students. 

"I like to be with my friends and sing,” explained Arden Connor, a fourth-grade student in the Conway Chorus. “I especially like singing with my friends for the people at Ranken Jordan. I love their smiles."

Conway students are a shining example of what it means to be a Ladue Schools student, fostering empathy and creativity in the community. Conway Elementary’s partnership with Ranken Jordan is a testament to the profound impact of small acts of kindness.
