Spoede Elementary’s Kevin Heyman Receives February’s Excellence in Education Award
Congratulations to Kevin Heyman, a 4th-grade teacher at Spoede Elementary, who received the district's Excellence in Education Award for February 2026 at the February 25 Board of Education meeting.
“He's a yes person, whether it's a new program or curriculum, he's saying 'yes' and wants to be a part of that initiative for his kids,” says Issac Bjerk, principal at Spoede. “When we talk about the reasons that Spoede is such a special place, I say it's because of our people, and Kevin is one of those incredibly special people who make our school a special place for our kids and our community.”
The Excellence in Education Award recognizes outstanding Ladue Schools teachers and faculty and is awarded monthly at each school.
