School Campus Safety Ban: E-Bikes, Electric Scooters, and Motorized Devices

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. As part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety, we are implementing a new ban regarding the use of electric bicycles and motorized scooters on our school campuses.

Beginning Monday, September 15, 2025, electric bicycles, motorized bikes, and electric scooters of all classes per Missouri State Law are no longer permitted on any Ladue School District campus.

We have been considering this decision since last year. After careful review of safety protocols and a growing number of concerns regarding the speed and operation of these motorized devices in areas with high pedestrian traffic, we arrived at the conclusion to ban all classes of e-bikes. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of all students and staff during school hours, especially in high-traffic areas during arrival and dismissal.

This new ban is an important step to prevent potential accidents and ensure the well-being of all members of our community.

We ask for your support in speaking with your child about this new expectation. Please ensure that all electric or motorized devices are left at home when traveling to and from school.

Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated, and we thank you for your partnership in keeping our campuses safe for everyone.

Thank you for your understanding.
