Old Bonhomme Elementary’s Antón Martín Receives January’s Excellence in Education Award
Congratulations to Antón Martín, a Spanish teacher at Old Bonhomme Elementary, who received the district's Excellence in Education Award for January 2026 at the January 28 Board of Education meeting.
“He's one of those veteran teachers you can go to and ask questions, you can lean on,” says Dr. Stephanie Simon, principal at Old Bonhomme. “He is a ball of energy. You know, whenever he goes out to carpool in the morning, he's excited to be there. He is dressed in whatever spirit wear we have, whatever thematic unit is going on. He plays the role in whatever it is and gets everybody excited for their day.”
The Excellence in Education Award recognizes outstanding Ladue Schools teachers and faculty and is awarded monthly at each school.
