LHWHS Students Shine at Missouri’s All-Suburban Honor Choir Auditions

Ladue Horton Watkins High School was proudly represented at the Missouri State High School Activities Association’s (MSHSAA) Saint Louis All-Suburban Honor Choir auditions on Oct. 4.

During the audition, students were challenged to learn and perform a 60-second excerpt of an Italian aria, as well as sight-read and perform unfamiliar music on the spot—a true test of musicianship and preparation.

Congratulations to the following students for earning a spot in the Saint Louis Suburban Honor Choir:

  • Chanuth Batagoda, 11th grader
  • Molo Christ, 11th grader
  • Velvet Majumdar, 9th grader
  • Norah Murphy, 12th grader
  • Anthony Zhao, 12th grader
LHWHS Saint Louis Suburban Honor Choir Students

Special recognition goes to Norah, Chanuth, and Anthony, who placed among the top 20 singers in their voice parts and are now eligible to audition for the Missouri All-State Choir in November. The top four students from those auditions will represent the state as members of the Missouri All-State Choir.

The Ladue Schools community is incredibly proud of these talented students for their hard work, dedication, and musical excellence—truly a reflection of The Ladue Way.
