LHWHS Science Olympiad Team Earns 2nd Place at Washington University Competition

The Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) Science Olympiad Team showcased their talent at the inaugural Washington University High School Science Olympiad competition—and the results were outstanding!

Competing against 28 schools from eight states, including four 2024 state champions, LHWHS secured 2nd place—making them the only Missouri team in the top eight!

This incredible achievement highlights our students' hard work and commitment, who continue to make Ladue Schools proud. Mark Biernbaum, Industrial Technology teacher at Ladue Middle School and Science Olympiad team sponsor, praised the team’s dedication:

"Once again, we have another group of incredibly talented and hardworking students this year, and if they keep it up, the sky's the limit."

The team now sets its sights on the Regional Competition at Lindenwood University on March 1, 2025. The top four regional teams will advance to the Missouri State Science Olympiad competition at the end of April.
