Congratulations to Ladue Horton Watkins High School freshman Elle Saleeby on receiving a certificate of professional achievement in free expression advocacy from Poets, Essayists, and Novelists (PEN) America.
Elle was selected for the Summer Free Expression Advocacy Institute sponsored by PEN America. She became certified through an intensive week-long educational and training program in Washington, D.C. She participated in workshops led by policy experts and engaged in advocacy campaign projects with fellow students nationwide.
PEN America engages a rising generation around the importance of human rights and freedom of expression with the Free Expression Advocacy Institute, a program for high school and college students to engage with free expression issues and learn professional advocacy skills from PEN America’s experts and guest speakers.
Ladue Schools is proud of Elle Saleeby for taking action to become an agent of change and make a positive difference in the community and the world.
