LECC Named State School of Character
The Ladue Early Childhood Center has been named a 2024 State School of Character by CharacterPlus.
Schools are recognized for their focus on character development that positively impacts academic achievement, student behavior, and school climate.
The LECC is one of 15 schools in the St. Louis region to earn the recognition and one of only 87 in the nation to receive the honor in its respective state.
CharacterPlus is the Missouri affiliate for the State Schools of Character process and evaluates all Missouri schools and districts that apply.
This recognition is given to schools and districts that have achieved a standard of excellence in the area of character development through their exemplary implementation of Character.org’s 11 Principles of Effective Character Education, a framework for whole-school improvement.
