Leading the Way: Senior Nicolas Kaufman Earns Spot on Federal Reserve Student Board

Congratulations to Nicolas Kaufman, a Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) senior who has been selected to serve on the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’ Student Board of Directors for the 2025–26 school year.

“Congratulations on this impressive accomplishment! We are very proud of you,” said Annette Hayes, LHWHS Assistant Principal and Class of 2026 Grade Level Principal.

The Student Board of Directors Program provides St. Louis-area high school seniors with a unique opportunity to learn about the nation’s central bank and its impact on the U.S. economy. Students gain valuable financial literacy education, career preparation skills, and mentoring from Federal Reserve employees.

As part of the program, student board members commit to attending regular meetings, fully participating in discussions and projects, and collaborating with peers to create and deliver a presentation about the Federal Reserve at their school.

Through these experiences, participants develop a deeper understanding of economics and financial services while gaining career skills such as networking, resume writing, and interview preparation.

Ladue Schools is proud to see Nicolas representing LHWHS in this prestigious program and knows he will make the most of this incredible opportunity!
