Leading the Way: LHWHS Rising Charlie Wan Selected for Prestigious Fred Saigh Leadership Academy

The tradition of student leadership at Ladue Horton Watkins High School continues to thrive on a regional stage. Rising senior Charlie Wan has been selected as one of only nine students from across the St. Louis metropolitan area to participate in the Class of 2027 Fred Saigh Leadership Academy.

Charlie follows in the footsteps of Class of 2026 graduate Alyssa Kuhstoss, who successfully participated in the prestigious program last year.

This year-long experience, provided by the Special Education Foundation, empowers future leaders with real-world training, monthly community site visits, and the tools to create meaningful change in their schools and beyond. These interactive opportunities take learning beyond the traditional classroom setting, introducing participants to local business executives, civic leaders, and community advocates.

By stepping into this regional role, Charlie is gaining durable skills that will continue to develop a resilient, future-ready graduate prepared to make a positive impact on the world.

Please join the entire Ladue Schools community in congratulating Charlie Wan on this exceptional regional honor and wishing him the best of luck as he begins his leadership academy journey this fall!
