Ladue Schools Top District in Missouri, 14th in Nation, According to Niche

For the third year in a row, the Ladue School District was named the top school district in Missouri in Niche.com’s 2026 Best School Districts in America rankings. The district also ranks 14th in the nation among all school districts. 

“Being named the top district in Missouri for the third year in a row is an incredible honor and a reflection of what makes the Ladue Schools community so special,” Superintendent Dr. Jim Wipke said. “It’s the result of dedicated students, amazing teachers and staff, strong parent partnerships, and the unwavering support of our entire community—all working together for the success of our kids.”

“I’m truly grateful to work alongside a Board of Education and staff who always put students first. We live in a region filled with outstanding schools, educators, and support staff, so to be recognized at the top once again is no small feat—and something we can all take great pride in.”

Additionally, Niche recognized Ladue Horton Watkins High School as the #1 public high school and the best college prep public high school in Missouri, and Conway Elementary as the #1 elementary school in Missouri. 

The other primary schools all ranked in the top 10 of Missouri elementary schools, with the Ladue Fifth Grade Center ranked 2nd, Spoede Elementary School ranked 4th, Reed Elementary School ranked 6th, and Old Bonhomme Elementary School ranked 9th on the same list. 

Ladue Middle School was recognized as the #2 public middle school in the state, and the district also ranked #2 on the list of best places to teach in Missouri.
