Ladue Middle School (LMS) recently hosted the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) 2025 Middle School State Contest, bringing together some of the brightest young math minds from across the state. More than 120 students from 31 school districts participated in the competition, including 21 talented students representing LMS.
The contest saw outstanding performances from our students, with several earning top individual placements and securing national qualifications. Congratulations to the following students on their impressive achievements:
6th Grade:
- Dylan Li – 6th place*
- Max Wang – 5th place*
- Dylan Ma – 4th place*
- Audrey Tang – 1st place*
7th Grade:
- Alice Chang – 7th place*
- Kevin Shi – 1st place*
8th Grade:
- Jessie Liang – 3rd place*
- Brandon Yao – 1st place*
In addition to these impressive individual performances, the Rams also shined in the team competition. The team, comprised of Charlie Fan, Jessie Liang, Ashley Tran, and Brandon Yao claimed first place and secured their spot at Nationals. Another LMS team, composed of Kevin Shi, Oishi Dasgupta, Alice Chang, and Rachel Liu, demonstrated remarkable teamwork and perseverance, earning a fourth-place finish.
“I am so proud of these students for qualifying for the State Competition and excited that 10 of our students qualified for the National Competition,” exclaimed Dr. Hannah Shayer-McLeod, LMS math teacher and Math Club and Competition Coordinator.
With the support of their teachers and families, these 10 students will represent Ladue Schools at the 2025 Middle School National Championship in Houston, TX. Congratulations to all participants, and best wishes to our national qualifiers as they take on this exciting challenge
