Ladue Horton Watkins High School Science Bowl Team Wins National Competition!

Ladue Schools is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of the Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) Science Bowl team, which recently secured first place in the Midwinter Online Science Bowl for Emerging Teams! This prestigious national competition is designed to help schools prepare for their upcoming regional tournaments, and our students shined on the virtual stage.

The Science Bowl is a fast-paced quiz-style competition that challenges students in six key subject areas: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Energy (based on Department of Energy research), Mathematics, and Physics. Competing against teams nationwide, our students demonstrated incredible knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork to claim victory.

"This is a remarkable achievement, showcasing the hard work of our students as they competed against teams from across the country," said Shanae Yancy, LHWHS science teacher and Science Bowl team sponsor.

With this victory behind them, the team is setting their sights on the Regional Science Bowl Tournament, scheduled for March 8th at Washington University.
