Ladue Horton Watkins High School Educator Stephanie Bellville Selected for National Fellowship at William & Mary

Ladue School District is pleased to announce that Stephanie Bellville, a World and AP World History teacher at Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS), has been selected as a delegate to the “We the Teachers: Preparing the Next Generation Through History & Civics National Fellowship Program” at the College of William & Mary.

Bellville is among an elite group of 100 teacher delegates selected from all 50 states to attend the Congress of Educators. This four-day residential institute will take place in July 2026 across the Historic Triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. The program offers a rigorous exploration of American history and civics, designed to empower educators with new insights and pedagogical tools.

“I am excited to take a deep dive into the founding of our nation, especially as we approach the 250th anniversary of its inception,” said Stephanie Bellville. “I look forward to sharing what I learn about this history, our founding, and ways to foster civic engagement with my colleagues and students.”

Bellville serves the Ladue Schools community not only as a dedicated history educator but also as the sponsor for the Asian Culture and Advocacy Group. Her selection for this fellowship underscores the district's commitment to academic excellence and its reputation for employing world-class faculty leaders in their respective fields.

The fellowship program provides a unique opportunity for educators to collaborate with historians and peers from across the country, focusing on the complex narratives that shaped the United States.

“Congratulations to Ms. Bellville on this prestigious honor,” said LHWHS Principal Brad Griffith. “For Ladue Horton Watkins High School, Bellville’s participation ensures that our students will continue to benefit from a curriculum informed by high-level national discourse and historical scholarship. We support the professional development of our teachers and staff. I am proud of Bellville for being a lifelong learner.”
