History in the Making: Ladue Middle School's RoboRams Produce Four State Qualifiers

The Ladue Middle School (LMS) RoboRams has officially made history! Competing in their final regular-season tournament at North Kirkwood Middle School, the RoboRams entered the competition with only one of their four teams qualifying for the State Championship in March. However, by the end of the tournament, all four teams had secured their spots in the Missouri State Championship for the first time in program history!

“This is an incredible achievement for our students,” said Eric Brown, LMS teacher and RoboRams sponsor. “The teams have been working overtime to perfect their robots to make it to the State Championships, and all of their hard work has finally paid off.”

Tournament Highlights:

69955A – Chick Fil-Asians – Winner of the Judges Award
This prestigious award was given to teams that display exemplary effort, perseverance, teamwork, professionalism, and strong communication skills during their interview with the judges.

9955C – 3% Sauce – Tournament Champions & Skills Champions
They once again dominated the competition, securing both the Tournament Champion and Skills Champion titles—an impressive feat.

  • Team Members: Mithran Ramesh, Lucas Chostner, Jessie Liang, Miyasi Welivita, Lily Shreiber

69955B – The Outsiders & 69955D – 100% Cooked – Strong Performances in the Quarterfinals
While these teams were eliminated in the quarterfinals, their performances were strong enough to earn them a spot at the State Championships! Their resilience and teamwork were key in securing their qualification.

  • 100% Cooked: Wyatt Derusiseau, Tracy Zhou, Avery Zhou, Andrew Huang, Eren Ozkan

Next Stop: 2025 Missouri V5RC Middle School State Championship!

The RoboRams will now set their sights on the state championship in Platte County on Saturday, March 15th. 

This milestone marks a significant achievement for the RoboRams program, which has grown and improved for the past six years. The entire Ladue School District community is incredibly proud of these talented students and their sponsors for their dedication to excellence.
