Global Greatness: A Team of LHWHS Seniors Wins Regional WorldQuest Competition

Ladue Schools is proud to celebrate four seniors from Ladue Horton Watkins High School, William Yin, Gavin Hofer, Keegan Cody, and Jacob Kaufman, for their first-place finish at the 2026 WorldQuest Competition held at Saint Louis University.

By securing the regional title, this talented team has earned an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., where they will represent Ladue Schools and the World Affairs Council of St. Louis at the national championship this April.

Academic WorldQuest is a fast-paced team competition that challenges high school students to demonstrate their mastery of international affairs. To take home the top prize, William, Gavin, Keegan, and Jacob had to answer rigorous questions covering a wide range of global topics, including:

  • International politics and history
  • Global economics
  • Geography and world cultures
  • Current international events

The program is designed to close the global education gap, preparing the next generation of leaders and decision-makers to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

The road to the championship is highly competitive. Nearly 5,000 students from 50 World Affairs Councils across the country participate in local contests. Only the winning teams from each region are invited to convene in our nation’s capital for the Carlos and Malú Alvarez Academic WorldQuest National Competition.

Ladue Schools congratulates the team on this impressive achievement and sends well-wishes as they head to Washington, D.C., to vie for the national title!
