Congratulations to Ashley Lock, a social studies teacher at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, who was named one of Emerson’s 2024 Excellence in Teaching Awards honorees!
Emerson, a global technology and software company providing innovative solutions for the world’s essential industries, recognizes over 100 local educators as 2024 honorees of the company’s Excellence in Teaching Awards. The long-standing annual program recognizes instructors throughout the St. Louis area selected by their school administration for exceptional dedication to their students and school community.
Ashley was also recognized as Ladue Schools’ 2023-24 District Teacher of the Year.
“We are fortunate to have Ashley in our school,” said Ladue Horton Watkins High School Principal Brad Griffith. “Her ability to enhance our students’ learning experiences and inspire them to be difference-makers helps set the example in our school and district. We are grateful for her commitment to our students and congratulate her on being named one of Emerson’s 2024 Excellence in Teaching honorees!”
Emerson will publicly recognize and celebrate Ashley alongside this year’s other honorees in a full-page commemorative advertisement in the Sunday, November 17 edition of the St. Louis PostDispatch.
“I am really humbled by this, to be honest, because I see my colleagues doing this work every day, and I am no different than them,” Ashley stated. “It all depends on my students; they are why I do this. They are wonderful and give great feedback. I’m lucky and in great company.”
Ladue Schools is proud to have Ashley Lock represent the Ladue School District as this year’s Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards honoree, and we thank her for empowering every student to become passionate learners.
