Elle Saleeby Wins Elks Lodge Essay Contest

Ladue Middle School 8th grader Elle Saleeby received first place in the 2024 Elks Lodge Americanism Essay Contest.

The contest invites students in fifth through eighth grade to submit an essay of no more than 300 words addressing a given prompt; this year’s prompt was “What the Bill of Rights means to me.”

Saleeby earned first place at the local, district, and state levels and now will represent Missouri at the national competition.

National winners will announced in July during the 2024 Elks National Convention in Texas.

Through its annual essay contest, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks encourages students to thoughtfully consider American values and appreciate the blessings and responsibilities of citizenship.
