Dr. Kemba Logan Named Conway Elementary Assistant Principal

We are pleased to share that the Ladue Schools Board of Education approved Dr. Kemba Logan, Assistant Principal for Conway Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026.

Dr. Kemba Logan joins Ladue Schools with a unique and impressive background that blends legal expertise with an extensive, 15-year career in educational leadership and instructional excellence. Most recently, she served as Assistant Principal and Dean of Students within the Ferguson-Florissant School District. During her tenure there, she collaborated with building principals to implement strategic plans and improve academic performance through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

Dr. Logan is a highly skilled administrator with experience in restorative practices, staff evaluation, and community engagement. Her leadership extends beyond the front office; she has served as a Building Liaison for numerous student outreach programs, including Students on the Go, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) Regional Mock Trial Competition, and The St. Louis Chess Club, and has been a dedicated member of the Ferguson-Florissant School District Student Expectation Code and Parkway School District Equity and Inclusion committees. Her commitment to student-centered environments is further evidenced by her work as a "Girls on the Run" coach and her previous recognition as "Teacher of the Month."

Prior to her administrative roles, Dr. Logan spent seven years in the Parkway School District as an English Teacher and Virtual Campus English Chair. She is a recognized voice in her field, having presented at the National Council for Teachers of English and the University of Missouri-Columbia on topics ranging from accurate representation in literature to developing literacy. Furthermore, she has served as the Assistant Director of Community Outreach for the Gateway Writing Project.

Dr. Logan holds a Juris Doctor from the Washington University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the John M. Olin School of Business. She earned her Education Specialist degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She is certified in Missouri as a Building Leader (K-12) and is a graduate of the Missouri Leadership Development System. She is very proud of being a Ladue Horton Watkins High School alumna.

Working alongside Conway’s Principal Dr. Devitt, Dr. Logan will make an exceptional addition to the Conway School community following the appointment of Dr. Thomas Hadfield to the role of principal of the Ladue Fifth Grade Center.

Please join us in welcoming, congratulating, and supporting Dr. Kemba Logan as she joins our team of elementary assistant principals. The Conway team will work to create meet-and-greet opportunities to introduce her to the Ladue Schools community.
