The Ladue Schools community is thrilled to celebrate Danette Baker, an exceptional educator at Old Bonhomme Elementary, for earning recognition as one of 24 honorees at the prestigious 43rd Annual Apple for the Teacher Ceremony, hosted by the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda, Inc. This accolade underscores her profound dedication and excellence in teaching.
Danette Baker, an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Specialist, continues a proud tradition of educational distinction within the Ladue Schools family. She follows the exemplary paths of Leah Crawford, Ladue Schools’ Instructional Coach, and Dr. Patricia Wilson, Principal at the Fifth Grade Center, both of whom received the same honor last year.
Since its inception in 1982, this ceremony has stood as a beacon of appreciation, celebrating educators who inspire and uplift students across the St. Louis metropolitan region. Danette’s achievement highlights Ladue Schools educators' unwavering commitment to cultivating an environment that empowers students to excel and contribute meaningfully to a global society.
In a heartwarming show of support, numerous Old Bonhomme staff members and Board of Education representatives joined Danette at the luncheon, uniting to honor and celebrate this remarkable milestone.
Congratulations to Danette Baker for embodying the values of excellence, innovation, and dedication. Thank you for your tireless efforts to make a lasting impact on the leaders of tomorrow.
