Ladue Schools is thrilled to share that Madeline Awad and Jack Saleeby, both juniors at Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS), have been selected as the two delegates representing Missouri at the highly prestigious 2025 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp).
This highly competitive and prestigious honor is awarded to students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Madeline and Jack were chosen from a strong pool of candidates across the state based on their exceptional academic performance, community involvement, and passion for pursuing careers in STEM. Delegates to the NYSCamp represent the pinnacle of student achievement in science and mathematics at the high school level.
The 2025 NYSCamp will take place July 10 through August 2 in the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. This all-expenses-paid residential program allows students to explore cutting-edge topics in the biological and physical sciences, engage with top-tier scientists, and collaborate with fellow high-achieving peers from across the nation and beyond.
Each year, only two students from every state and the District of Columbia are selected, making Madeline and Jack’s achievements truly exceptional.
In addition to its rigorous focus on STEM, the NYSCamp also encourages exploration in the arts and humanities, outdoor recreation, and leadership development—offering a uniquely well-rounded experience. Delegates will participate in an interdisciplinary curriculum that stretches boundaries, ignites creativity, and inspires lifelong scientific curiosity.
Congratulations to Madeline and Jack! Ladue Schools is incredibly proud of your hard work, and this selection speaks volumes about your dedication and passion to achieving your highest potential!
