Board President's Remarks

• Congratulations to the Ladue Horton Watkins High School students on putting on the 5th annual Ladue Night Lights event, which took place during the board meeting on Sept. 10. Thank you to Kimberly McKenzie and Greg Kendall for their hard work behind the scenes in helping direct the students as they organized the event. 

Superintendent Remarks

• Met with the High School PTSA, where Lorie Keller did a great job organizing. It was great connecting with both new and longtime LHWHS parents.
• Shared that the school year is off to a strong start despite construction challenges, thanks to Dr. Geoff Macy and transportation for their hard work in limiting the impact on our students and families. In typical Ladue fashion, students and staff have not only survived but thrived. Highlighted safety and security measures put in place by the Board of Education, including the successful rollout of the high school weapons detection system, which has been well-received by students.
• Noted that a key area of focus moving forward will be the district’s counseling and career program, including curriculum, college and career readiness, and student health and wellness.
• Discussed needed updates to the Administrative Center, with more information to be shared as conversations continue.

INFORMATION ITEMS

2025-26 Special School District Partnership

A presentation was given on the partnership between the Ladue School District and Special School District, including student success stories, academic growth, and areas of focus for the upcoming school year. 

~ Took a break to support the Ladue Night LIghts event. ~ 

2025B and 2025C Board Policy Updates

Updates were provided on the following policies: BBBA-1, BDA, ACA, KK, GBH, GBE, GCBDA, EGAA, KB, JGR, IGBB, IGBI, IGCD, IDCDA, and IGD

Tax Rate Update

An update was provided on the preliminary property assessment.

ACTION ITEMS

Excuse Board member Kisha Lee from the meeting

The Board approved excusing Kisha Lee from the Board meeting.

Superintendent Search Firm RFP

The Board approved moving forward with the Missouri School Board Association as the firm that will conduct the next Ladue Superintendent Search.

2025C Policy Updates

The Board approved updates on Policies: JFCD and IGDAA

District Architectural Services

The Board approved the contract submitted by Cordogan Clark & Associates to begin the design and planning of a new Administrative Center.
