Board President Remarks

  • Recognized the hard work and commitment of educators, staff, and students as we end the third quarter with Parent/Teacher conferences.
  • March Celebrations and Observances, including Ramadan, Purim, Holi, and Easter. As we observe these days, it’s a reminder of the inclusiveness and unity we celebrate in Ladue Schools. Highlighting the importance of understanding, respect, and fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Wished the community strength for the last few days of the week and a healthy, relaxing spring break.

Superintendent Remarks

  • Recognized March as Board Appreciation Month. Expressed gratitude for the board’s dedication and contributions. We will formally recognize the board at the March 26 meeting.
  • Highlighted a recent episode of the See. Serve. Connect. Podcast, featuring Jeff Kopolow. He shares valuable insights and wisdom from his 15 years on the board and more than 50 years in education.
  • Acknowledged Leah Crawford and Natalie Dicker, two Ladue Schools staff members working toward their doctoral degrees at Maryville University. It was a pleasure to learn from these dedicated educators during their recent job shadowing. I commend their commitment to education and leadership.
  • Celebrated Abi Loiterstein an outstanding senior who received a full-ride scholarship to William Woods University to study American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Strong enrollment numbers were reported at the Ladue Early Childhood Center (LECC) and satellite sites at Old Bonhomme and Spoede. Highlighted the positive impact of teachers in these programs.
  • Announced Parent University scheduled for April 2, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the high school. Excited to lead a legislative update session with Dr. Geoff Macy.
  • Wished students, staff, and families a restful and enjoyable spring break. Encouraged safe travels and emphasized recharging for the remainder of the school year.

2025-26 Academic Calendar Revision 

The Board reviewed and approved the changes to the 2025-26 Academic Calendar. 

Excuse the Board Member from the meeting

The Board approved a motion to excuse Pablo Flinn from the open board session.

Board President Marissa Rosen proposed revisions to 2025-26 Board of Education meeting dates. 

2024-25 Budget Adjustments & Phase 4 Planning

Dr. Geoff Macy provided an update on the 2024-25 budget and proposed an adjustment to Phase IV planning.
