Board President Remarks
- Welcome back to the second semester, and shout out to Director of Facilities Mike Noonan and our incredible maintenance and custodial staff, who worked tirelessly, putting in countless hours to clear our district sidewalks and parking lots to ensure everyone was safe to return both last Thursday and this week.
Superintendent Remarks
- Thank you to the board members and administrators who attended the Superintendent’s High School Student Advisory Council meeting. We had great discussions about the feedback we received during our last Board Work Session. Student voice is vital to our success.
- Reiterate the appreciation of Mike Noonan and our hard-working maintenance and custodial staff. Special thanks to Dr. Geoff Macy for his early morning road checks and to Kimberly McKenzie for her outstanding work on timely communication with our families and staff.
- Be looking for future communication about future snow days and how they will be handled if needed. In Missouri, the state statutes require 169 school days. These are found in Revised Statutes of Missouri, Section 163.045 and Senate Bill 727. The high school has used all their snow days, with the Fifth Grade Center, LMS, and the elementary schools having one more available.
- I am excited to see everyone begin to settle back into our routines. The second semester is always an exciting time for Ladue Schools, from jumping back into academics to closing out winter activities and welcoming spring activities. There is a lot ahead of us, and I want to thank the community for their patience over the last week with the weather and getting back into the buildings.
