ParentSquare

ParentSquare is a mass communication platform used by the district to communicate with parents. This communications tool is used by teachers, principals, coaches, and by our district's Communications Office to send important messages on behalf of our Superintendent.

If you are new to the district, you will receive an email invitation to join and create your account before school begins, or parents can create an account by going to parentsquare.com using the email or phone number provided during their student registration process. FAQs and a quick video tutorial can be found below.

Don't worry — even if you don't create an account or have the app*, you'll still receive district, school, and teacher notifications. However, for security reasons, you will be unable to view any attachments (i.e., report cards and schedules) or photos without having an account.

* A mobile app for ParentSquare is available for both iOS and Android devices. Account access is also available through a web browser at parentsquare.com. For additional information and tips on how to use and manage ParentSquare communications, please visit the ParentSquare Help website.

How to Complete and Sign a Form

The district uses ParentSquare as its mass communication system to keep parents informed and involved in their school community. A helpful tool our schools use is the forms feature to digitally capture a parent/guardian’s acknowledgment of a handbook, technology agreement, permission to participate in a special event or field trip, etc.

Below are a few troubleshooting tips if you are experiencing an issue. Be sure you are logged in to your account before you begin.

From a Web Browser (parentsquare.com)

Forms can be found by going to your home screen and finding the “Participate” section, then “Forms/Permissions.”
- Or, you can click the Complete Form section in your Post.

If your form has the option to select your child, select your child from the drop-down menu under Student Name.

Answer any additional questions. The screenshot below is just an example. You may not see this wording on your form.

Click Save, unless your form requires a signature.

If your form requires a signature, click Review and Sign. Not all forms will have this.

Type your full name under Electronic Signature. Your name MUST be typed exactly as it appears in ParentSquare. Click I Approve.

If you receive a message saying, “You are not authorized to access this page,” it means that another parent/guardian in your household has already started completing the form, and it’s pending the signature of that parent/guardian (only one parent/guardian in a household can sign the form).

If you need to complete another form or permission slip for another child, click Complete another form.

From the ParentSquare Mobile App

Be sure you are logged in to your account before you begin.

Within the post, tap Forms.

If you see, Who is this form for? enter the name of your child.

Tap Save, unless your form requires a signature.

If your form requires a signature, tap Review and Sign. Not all forms have this.

How to Adjust Your Notification Preferences

District communications through ParentSquare are available to be received through your email, text, and/or ParentSquare app notification (if you have the app downloaded on your smartphone).

There are notification settings for each category; which are listed below that can be adjusted by the user.

Instant (default): you'll receive an email and/or text and/or an app notification every time a notice or message is sent.
Digest: you'll receive an email and/or text and/or an app notification once a day in the evening with all posts from that day (which typically arrive between 5-6 p.m.).
Off: no notifications about posts will be sent to you. Emergency Alerts and Notices will still be sent. School Alerts will still be sent if turned on.
