How to Report Your Child’s Attendance in Infinite Campus:  Absence, Late Arrival, or Early Dismissal

Log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and follow these steps: 

  1. On the left-hand navigation menu, click “More.” Then select “Absence Requests.” 
  2. Create a New Request: Click on "Create Request." If your child's name isn't listed, contact a school administrator
  3. Select Student and Excuse: Choose the student for whom you're submitting the request. Then, select the reason for the absence from the "Excuse" dropdown list.
  4. Choose Absence Type: Select the appropriate absence type: 
    1. Full Day Absence
    2. Arrive Late 
    3. Leave Early
  5. Enter Dates and Times: Enter the dates and times for the absence.
  • Full Day Absence: This option is for an entire day or multiple days. You must fill in both the "First Day" and "Last Day" fields.
  • Arrive Late: If you choose this option, you must enter the student's arrival time in the "Arrival Time" field. The time must be between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.. You can enter a time up to five minutes in the past.
  • Leave Early: For this option, you must enter the student's departure time in the "Departure Time" field. The departure time must also be between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.. You can enter a time up to five minutes in the past.
  1. Add Comments and Documents: You can add "Comments" about the reason for the absence, which are limited to 100 characters. You can also upload one optional or required document per request. The document will be attached to every student in the request.
  2. Submit the Request: When you have completed all the fields, click "Submit.” After the request is processed, Infinite Campus will create an attendance record for the student.

How to View and Delete Requests

  • View Requests: To see previously submitted requests, click the "View Requests" button. The "Current Requests" screen displays the details of existing requests.
  • Delete a Request: You can delete an unprocessed absence request. To do this, click on the specific request from the "Current Requests" screen and then select the "Delete Request" button.
