Bicycle racks for parking and locking bicycles are placed at each school. However, due to heavy traffic around schools, students are discouraged from riding bicycles to school. We encourage students who ride to walk their bicycles across the streets and wear safety helmets.

Important School Campus Safety Ban: E-Bikes, Electric Scooters, and Motorized Devices 

As part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety, we want to remind families about the district’s ban on the use of electric bicycles and motorized scooters on our school campuses.

As of last September 2025, electric bicycles, motorized bikes, and electric scooters of all classes are not permitted on any Ladue School District campus, per Missouri State Law.

This decision was made last year after a careful review of safety protocols and growing concerns about the speed and operation of these motorized devices in areas with high pedestrian traffic. It was concluded that all classes of e-bikes should be banned. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of all students and staff during school hours, especially in high-traffic areas during arrival and dismissal.

This restriction is important for preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of all members of our community.

We ask for your support in speaking with your child about this continued expectation. Please ensure that all electric or motorized devices are left at home when traveling to and from school.
