Limitless Learning Student and Parent Technology Agreement

• District-issued devices are provided to support learning both at school and at home and must be used in accordance with district policies and guidelines.
• By acknowledging this agreement, parents/guardians and students understand that:
• The district-issued device is an educational resource intended to support teaching, learning, communication, and school-related activities.
• Students are expected to use their device safely, responsibly, and in accordance with the Ladue School District's technology policies and the Student Code of Conduct.
• Parents/guardians are encouraged to review these expectations with their student before the device is used outside of school.
• The district may temporarily limit or suspend access to a device or district technology resources when necessary to address violations of district policies or to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
• Intentional damage, loss due to negligence, or misuse of a device is not covered by the district's protection plan and may result in repair or replacement costs as outlined by district policy.
• While the district maintains and supports its devices, it cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation and is not responsible for the loss of personal files or data stored on the device.

• District-issued devices and accounts are educational resources.
• Students have no expectation of privacy when using district technology.
• The district may monitor, review, and inspect device activity to:
  • Maintain network security
  • Ensure compliance with district policies
• Any inappropriate use, including off-campus use that substantially impacts the school environment, may also be subject to school discipline.

Respect Yourself

• Use respectful language and behavior online.
• Protect your personal information.
• Share passcodes only with parents/teachers.
• Report cyberbullying or unsafe interactions.

Respect Others

• Treat others with kindness.
• Don’t post, share, or forward hurtful or private content.
• Avoid accessing others’ private digital spaces.

Respect Property

• Keep your device charger in good condition.
• Keep device settings or security configurations the same.
• Do not lend or borrow district-issued devices.
• Keep all district asset tags intact.

Respect Ideas

• Always cite sources and give credit.
• Verify informational accuracy.
• Do not distribute media in violation of copyright.
• Maintain academic integrity, no plagiarism.

The Ladue School District recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance teaching and learning when used responsibly. Students may use district-approved AI tools as directed by their teacher and in accordance with Board Policy EHBD.

Students are expected to use AI responsibly, ethically, and with academic integrity by:

• Following all district policies and applicable laws.
• Protecting the privacy of others by not sharing confidential or personally identifiable information.
• Using AI to support learning without misrepresenting AI-generated content as their own original work when originality is expected.
• Creating and sharing content that is accurate, respectful, and appropriate for a school environment.
• Using AI in ways that promote learning and do not harass, intimidate, or harm others.
• Misuse of AI or violations of Board Policy EHBD may result in disciplinary action, restrictions on access to district technology resources, or other consequences consistent with district policy.

The Ladue School District provides students and staff with access to Google Workspace for Education—a secure, ad-free suite of tools for learning, communication, and collaboration (e.g., Gmail, Docs, Drive, Classroom, etc.).

• These accounts are managed by the district, not public Google, and include enhanced privacy, filtering, and monitoring. 
• For grades 6-8, email is restricted to internal district messages. All messages and collaborative comments are monitored for safety.
• This platform supports safe, responsible, and productive digital learning across all grade levels.

We have reviewed the Ladue School District Technology Expectations together and understand and accept all responsibilities associated with using district-issued technology.

We grant permission for our child to receive a district user account, including access to the internet and Google Workspace for Education (Core Services).
