About Dr. Macy

Prior to being named Superintendent, Dr. Macy served as the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance for Ladue Schools beginning in 2021. In this role, he was instrumental in ensuring the district remained fiscally sound while overseeing all major district construction projects, financial operations, budgeting, student transportation, food service, safety and security, and facilities maintenance. His comprehensive background provides him with a unique, holistic perspective on what it takes to effectively lead and support our schools.

Before joining the Ladue Schools family, Dr. Macy served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Northwest School District. His administrative career also includes roles as a Middle School Principal and an Assistant High School Principal. Dr. Macy began his journey in education as a physical education teacher, athletic director, and dean of student discipline in the St. Louis Public Schools. Additionally, he has shared his expertise with future educational leaders as an Adjunct Professor of School Finance at Maryville University.  

Dr. Macy and his wife, Angie, have been married for 22 years and have two sons: Clayton and Grayson.

Educational Background & Professional Leadership

Dr. Macy is highly respected statewide for his expertise in school operations and finance. For the 2025-26 school year, he served as the state-level president for the Association of School Business Officials International (MoASBO). He also holds the elite professional designation of Certified School Finance and Operations Officer (SFO).
