Curriculum Development Handbook

In 2022, the Ladue School District set the following mission, vision, and core commitments as part of the Strategic Plan to use as guiding principles for the curriculum, instruction, and assessment of our students, as well as a guide to support and train a high-quality staff. These principles inform the teaching and learning process in the classroom, and the implementation and evaluation of the written and taught curriculum.

Our Mission

We are a community that believes in the limitless possibilities of learning through:

Our Collective Commitments

  • Implementing innovative, individualized, and inquiry-based programming designed to address our students’ academic and social-emotional needs inside and outside the classroom.
  • Promoting equity and inclusion strategies and structures to address gaps and ensure all stakeholders are seen, heard, and valued.

In order to achieve this vision, the Curriculum and Instruction Department has created the following process based on best-practice curriculum design.
