Legislative Update | March 2, 2026

The district held a Legislative Update Community Forum on March 2, 2026, to discuss recent legislative developments that could impact our children, schools, our families, and the entire Ladue Schools community. There are several proposed bills at the state level; staying informed is more important than ever. Here are three main topics that could have a tremendous impact on the Ladue Schools community:

We believe that a well-informed community is a stronger community. Your engagement helps us advocate effectively for what our students need to thrive now and in the future. Whether you’re a student, parent, staff member, alum, taxpayer, or community partner, your voice matters—and your presence at these events will make a difference.

Thank you to those who attended and to the entire Ladue Schools community for your continued support. 

Legislators need to hear from constituents on issues that are important to them. They particularly expect professional educators and members of school boards to advocate for various education-related issues, and they put significant weight on the opinions of the constituents these groups serve.

Legislative Update | Feb. 11, 2025

  • The Missouri Legislative session began on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, and will conclude on May 16, encompassing a total of 69 session days.

  • This year, Missouri welcomed 54 new House members and 10 new Senators to the General Assembly. This presents a unique opportunity to engage with these legislators and advocate for public education priorities.

  • Governor Mike Kehoe, Missouri's newly inaugurated leader, delivered his State of the State address on Jan. 28, 2025.
