District Goals
2024-25 School Year
The Board of Education and Ladue administration have set forth in writing district goals that are directly connected to the pursuit of academic excellence for all of our students. Not only will our students be academically prepared for their future, but they will also be confident, compassionate, creative, culturally and globally aware, empathetic, inspired, and resilient. The 2024-25 district goals and initiatives are reflective of making these qualities and characteristics for our students a reality.
Board of Education initiatives and priorities:
- Ensure Board governance aligns policies effectively to support the administration in achieving the stated goals.
- Allocate appropriate funds and resources to enable the administration to achieve the stated goals effectively.
- Solicit feedback from constituents and facilitate communication with the administration to identify successes and areas for improvement, including analysis of Panorama survey results.
- Pursue opportunities for ongoing professional development to enhance Board members' knowledge and effectiveness.
- Maintain support for the superintendent, allowing autonomy in overseeing the school district while providing feedback as necessary.
The district has prioritized the following district-level goals for the 2024-25 school year in alignment with the 2022-27 Strategic Plan. These goals are expected to be reviewed and discussed by the Board of Education (BOE) each quarter. Prior to these quarterly discussions, the Superintendent and/or designee will provide relevant data for each goal if applicable. If a BOE member wishes to research specific data before the discussion that they have not already received, they should contact the Superintendent and/or designee to make the request. This request will be accommodated provided it is made with at least 48 hours notice and does not violate FERPA or any other policies or laws.
- The Ladue School district is dedicated to strategically planning and developing Future Ready programming, initiatives, and coursework, with a strong focus on academic excellence and thorough preparation for all students' future endeavors. This comprehensive approach will prioritize STEAM opportunities, Market Value Asset initiatives, College and Career pathways, and personalized strategies to ensure success and growth for all students.
- The district is deeply committed to fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within our educational environment. Our goal is to cultivate a safe, inclusive atmosphere where every student feels a sense of belonging and has their social and emotional needs met, thereby enabling them to thrive academically. We are equally committed to addressing the opportunity gap so each child can perform at grade level or above. This commitment extends to our curriculum, hiring practices, and ongoing professional development, emphasizing the value of our diverse student population and promoting equitable access and inclusive practices.
- The district is actively engaged in planning and designing a robust Community Education program to serve the needs of our broader Ladue School community beyond the traditional school day. These offerings will encompass a wide range of activities, athletic and academic programs, as well as community support initiatives.
- The district is dedicated to researching and preparing for the continued expansion of Early Childhood programs and opportunities as long as there is a need based on enrollment. This work aligns with our bond issue projects and anticipated available space in select elementary schools.
- The district is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all members of our community remains a top priority for the district. We are committed to implementing cutting-edge technological advancements and enhancing safety protocols throughout our facilities. This endeavor involves close collaboration with crisis teams in each building and the implementation of additional measures to support our overarching safety objectives.
- The Ladue School District is committed to maintaining high-quality facilities that not only enhance the learning environment for our students and support our staff and continue to exemplify responsible stewardship of the tax revenue entrusted to the district.
- The Ladue School District is dedicated to supporting and recognizing the mental health of our students and staff. We are committed to researching best practices for promoting mental wellness and providing resources to enhance the mental health of our school community. The Board of Education (BOE) acknowledges that our students are faced with societal pressures specifically related to choices regarding drug and alcohol use, which can directly impact the overall well-being of our student population. Therefore, the district is equally committed to utilizing resources to prevent drug and alcohol use among our students.
