LHWHS Tennis Player Victorious After Setting Rigorous Goals

Writing out a few goals and mustering up some motivation has launched one Ladue Horton Watkins High School student’s success on the tennis court! Sophomore Emma Warticovschi has jumped from the No. 6 singles spot for LHWHS last season to the No. 1 singles player for the Rams this season.

Ladue Alumna Sauerbrunn Is a 2015 World Cup Champion

The Ladue School District can boast that one of its own helped bring home the World Cup Final win against Japan on Sunday, July 2, 2015, in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Alumna Becky Sauerbrunn was a starter for the U.S. women’s national soccer team, which beat the opposition 5-2.

Becky, from the Class of 2003, is a star defender for Team USA. This weekend, after all of her hard work, she had the chance to battle alongside her teammates for the big win against Japan. She played the full 90 minutes of the final.

LHWHS Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team Wins Suburban Central Conference

Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) Junior Lizzy Puyo was named All Conference Player of the Year after the girls’ varsity soccer team finished the 2014-2015 regular season with a record of 17-7-1.

LHWHS Buckner’s Perfect Game Scores Athlete of the Week

Ladue Horton Watkins High School sophomore, Ty Buckner, pitched a perfect game on March 25, 2015 against Parkway West.  The 2-0 win came after Buckner retired 21 batters in 67 pitches with 6 strike outs.  Fox 2 News named Buckner Athlete of the Week.

LHWHS Alumna Sauerbrunn Helps USA Women’s Soccer Team Crush New Zealand at Busch Stadium

On April 4, 2015, Becky Sauerbrunn, class of 2003, returned to St. Louis, MO, representing the United States Women’s National Soccer Team, to help defeat New Zealand 4-0.

LHWHS’ Espinosa Places Third in State Wrestling Championships

Ladue Horton Watkins High School Senior Justin Espinosa finishes his last year as part of the Rams wrestling team with an impressive 50-3 record and third place in the state championship in the 113 lb. weight class.

Ten LHWHS Seniors Celebrate Ceremonial College Signing

It was a day to remember for ten Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) seniors who signed letters of intent to join sport teams at colleges and universities across the country.  The ceremonial signing took place on February 4, 2015, in the LHWHS cafeteria.

LHWHS Football’s Howard Picks Mizzou

Surrounded by fellow Ladue Horton Watkins High School Rams varsity football teammates, Senior Nate Howard made the announcement live on KSDK on January 30, 2015 that he would be attending and playing football for the University of Missouri.  

The Laduettes Dance Their Way to Nationals Competition

The Ladue Horton Watkins High School Laduettes dance team won first place in Pom and first place in Hip Hop in the St. Charles Classic Dance Team Competition on January 24, 2015.  Last December, the Laduettes took second place in both categories in the Yvonne Cole Lindbergh Invitational Regional Dance Team Competition.

LHWHS Varsity Football Rams Win St. Louis Rams National Guard High School Team of the Year Award!

The Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) Varsity Football Rams have been named the St. Louis Rams National Guard High School Team of the Year.  The Rams became eligible for this honor by being chosen as one of four teams in the area noted for their skills, overall academic performance, perseverance, sportsmanship and service to the community.  Receiving the top honor was the result of the Rams receiving the most votes in an online poll.   Christian Brothers College High School (CBC), John Burroughs School and Kirkwood High School were the other eligible teams.
