Senior & Rower Megan Present Featured in Town & Style

In the March 2018 edition of Town & Style, senior Megan Present was featured for her rowing scholarship to West Virginia University.

Megan is a member of the St. Louis Rowing Club, and began rowing during her freshman year of high school. She won the Leroy Schmaltz Award for best female novice rower in Missouri.

The 18-year-old is a member of a successful team at the St. Louis Rowing Club and has been recognized for her skill since she first took up the sport.

“When you’re in a fast boat, it’s like magic,” she told Town & Style. “You look forward to the goosebumps and the adrenaline rush. It feels like you’re flying.”

Senior Rower Jeri Rhodes Featured in St. Louis American

Senior Jeri Rhodes was recently featured in the St. Louis American for her accomplishments as a rower! Jeri is a stand-out member of the St. Louis Rowing Club; she is one of the most accomplished rowers in club history. After two years on the team, she’s the current junior female record holder for the 2k, 5k and 10k indoor rowing times. She’s a member of the junior U.S. Rowing Team, attended the 2017 Junior National Team High Performance Camp. She has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Michigan.

Two Seniors Sign Early with Universities for Lacrosse, Rowing

Two seniors from Ladue Horton Watkins High School participated in an early signing event on Nov. 9 to share the news of their commitment to attend and play a sport for their two respective universities.

Kaylon Buckner signed with Arizona State to play lacrosse, and Megan Present signed with West Virginia for rowing.

These are the only students known to intend to sign early with their respective universities at this time. Subsequent signing events will be celebrated as they occur throughout the school year.

Fifteen Ladue Horton Watkins High School Seniors to Participate in Ceremonial Signing Celebration

On Wednesday, 15 seniors from Ladue Horton Watkins High School attended a Ceremonial Signing Celebration to share the news of their commitment to attend and play a sport for universities across the country.

Ten LHWHS Seniors Celebrate Ceremonial College Signing

It was a day to remember for ten Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) seniors who signed letters of intent to join sport teams at colleges and universities across the country.  The ceremonial signing took place on February 4, 2015, in the LHWHS cafeteria.
