2012 Graduate and Football Star Jehu Chesson Drafted by Chiefs

Jehu Chesson, a Ladue Schools 2012 graduate, was recently chosen by the Chiefs in the NFL draft! Jehu, wide receiver for the Michigan Wolverines, is one of the top receivers in the Big Ten. He’s 6-foot-3, 204 pounds and finished his Michigan career with 114 receptions for 1,639 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Fifteen Ladue Horton Watkins High School Seniors to Participate in Ceremonial Signing Celebration

On Wednesday, 15 seniors from Ladue Horton Watkins High School attended a Ceremonial Signing Celebration to share the news of their commitment to attend and play a sport for universities across the country.

The Spotlight Continues to Shine on Alum Jehu Chesson

Jehu Chesson, wide receiver for the Michigan Wolverines and 2012 LHWHS grad, continues to make the folks at home proud with his success on the football field.

Jehu was recently selected to the 2015 First Team of the All-Big Ten Football Team (Coaches Poll). He was also an honorable mention for the 2015 All-big Ten Football Team (Media Poll). This season, Jehu made 8 touchdowns and 45 catches for 646 yards. He’s a senior this year, enrolled in the College of Literature, Science and Arts and majoring in sociology.

Five LHWHS Seniors Sign Letters of Intent to Play College Sports

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, five Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) seniors participated in a ceremonial signing celebration to show their commitment to attend and play a sport at the universities and college of their choice.

Ladue Horton Watkins High School Jehu Chesson, class of 2012, is concentrating on his next move at the University of Michigan. Chesson was a receiver with the LHWHS Football Rams. Wooed by the Wolverines at the University of Michigan, Jehu earned a spot as a wide receiver.

Ten LHWHS Seniors Celebrate Ceremonial College Signing

It was a day to remember for ten Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) seniors who signed letters of intent to join sport teams at colleges and universities across the country.  The ceremonial signing took place on February 4, 2015, in the LHWHS cafeteria.

LHWHS Football’s Howard Picks Mizzou

Surrounded by fellow Ladue Horton Watkins High School Rams varsity football teammates, Senior Nate Howard made the announcement live on KSDK on January 30, 2015 that he would be attending and playing football for the University of Missouri.  

LHWHS Varsity Football Rams Win St. Louis Rams National Guard High School Team of the Year Award!

The Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) Varsity Football Rams have been named the St. Louis Rams National Guard High School Team of the Year.  The Rams became eligible for this honor by being chosen as one of four teams in the area noted for their skills, overall academic performance, perseverance, sportsmanship and service to the community.  Receiving the top honor was the result of the Rams receiving the most votes in an online poll.   Christian Brothers College High School (CBC), John Burroughs School and Kirkwood High School were the other eligible teams.

LHWHS 1959 Alumnus Russell Inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame

Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) alumnus Charles Andrew “Andy” Russell, class of 1959, will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. The Enshrinement Ceremony will take place on January 25, 2015 in Springfield, Missouri. Andy had an impressive sports career with the LHWHS Rams, playing fullback and linebacker. He attended the University of Missouri at Columbia before playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, earning two Super Bowl rings and being named the Steelers’ Most Valuable Player in 1971.

LHWHS Varsity Football Rams Celebrate Outstanding Season

Ladue Horton Watkins High School’s Rams celebrated some amazing  accomplishments with a 12-2 record.

  • The team was National Division Champions of the Suburban Central Conference, District Champions and State Semifinalists.
  • All Conference athletes include:  James Bell, Chuck Burton, Antoine Cade, Chino Davis, Malcolm Davis, Luke Dibler, James Dunger, Daylen Edwards, Paul Flynn, Jack Fox, Nate Howard, Ivan Hurse, Jack May, Justin Moore, James Scott, Jarrod Smith, Mario Whitley and Henry Valier. 
  • All State athletes include:  Daylen Edwards, Jack Fox, Nate Howard and Justin Moore
  • Jack Fox was named Kohl’s All-American Punt Specialist
