LMS Worthington Receives September Excellence in Education Award

Ladue Middle School Counselor Janey Worthington was presented with the September Excellence in Education Award at the September 24, 2012 Board of Education meeting.   

Butz Receives May Excellence in Education Award

Stacy Butz, Fourth-Grade teacher at Old Bonhomme Elementary School was presented with the May 2012 Excellence in Education Award at the August 27, 2012 Board Meeting.  (Due to scheduling conflicts her award could not be presented in the Spring.

Bell Receives June 2012 Distinguished Service Award

Steve Bell was presented with the June 2012 Distinguished Service Award at the June 25, 2012 Board of Education meeting.  Steve is a custodian at Ladue Middle School and has been serving the district in this position since 2007.

LHWHS Goble Recognized as METC Midwest Spotlight Educator

Cooperating School Districts recently announced its first METC Midwest Spotlight Educators.  Included among the nine individual selected was Ladue Horton Watkins High School Broadcast Technology Instructor Don Goble.  These leaders in educational technology will be honored at the 2013 Midwest Education Technology Conference (METC).

Ladue Horton Watkins High School Broadcast Technology Instructor Don Goble was recently interviewed by TIME Techland regarding the value of SchoolTube for students.  The article is entitled Lights, Camera, Learn: SchoolTube Strives to Be YouTube for K-12 Education, and is written by Olivia Waxman.

Ladue View: Special Tribute to 9/11 Chosen SchoolTube “Video of the Day”

Congratulations to Broadcast Technology teacher Don Goble and his students for the creation of the inspiring video “Special Tribute to 9/11.”    It was chosen as SchoolTube’s “Video of the Day” for September 11, 2012.

Thirteen LHWHS Students Named as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

Thirteen seniors at Ladue Horton Watkins High School have been named as Semifinalists in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Competition.  These students qualified based on their high scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) taken during their junior year and join a select group of other LHWHS seniors over the past 20 years who have achieved this significant honor. All of these students are eligible for scholarships that will be offered next spring.
